In a groundbreaking development for veterinary science and wildlife conservation, Bernard, a 28-year-old Eurasian black vulture who resides at the Horstmann Vulture Trust in South Wales, has become the first vulture to receive stem-cell treatment with the aim of alleviating the arthritis in his stifle joint.
